A little help, when you need it.
Keep coaching.
Quick answers for preparing, running and reviewing practice.
Web checkpoint · Voice and planning continuity
Try your coaching workflow
Use a separate test team with sample practice data. From the workspace, choose Set up another team and select Football. Your existing team stays available through Choose your team.
- Say “Add Conditioning for twelve minutes at the end.” Expect a preview with your exact title and no save yet.
- Say “Yes, but make it eight.” Confirm the revised preview by voice; expect one eight-minute change and Saved.
- Request a drill for one position. Check its participants and times, then confirm that everyone else's work stays intact.
- Browse Today and return while a preview is open. Open a different practice and check that the old task pauses until you explicitly continue it.
- Reload after Saved and check that the change appears once. Ask to Undo your last change and verify the restored work.
Report what you asked, what you expected, what happened, and whether you would use it in your normal preparation. A wrong target, duplicate edit, lost confirmed save or exposed private content blocks the next checkpoint. Real-device voice quality and response time still need coach validation.
Know when my practice is saved
Completed planner edits save automatically. Wait for Saved before closing the tab. If saving is interrupted, keep the tab open and use Retry saving; the planner retains your draft and confirms the original request. Publish is a separate, deliberate action. Hey Coach waits for the latest saved practice and explains any blocked state beside its button.
Organize years, phases, weeks and practices
Open Schedule to organize years, phases and weeks, then open practices by day. A week is optional when creating a practice. Choose Organize later to begin now; Date & week lets you file it later.
Continue planning with Hey Coach
In the planner, choose Hey Coach · Live and Start conversation. Speak naturally and pause when your request is complete. Coach prepares a preview; say ‘yes, do that’ to confirm, ‘cancel that’ to dismiss it, or explain your correction. An Apply button is optional. Names can be your own words; a period type is optional. Type or dictate in written Hey Coach when you prefer. Saved means a confirmed save receipt, not just a spoken promise.
Keep the conversation while browsing
Hey Coach stays attached to the practice named in its panel while you browse Today or Schedule. Its microphone stays active until you pause or end it. Opening a different practice or script pauses that task; Continue in this practice returns to the pinned practice before confirmation is allowed. Switching teams ends the old team's live connection. Minimize the panel to reach the page underneath it.
Correct a request or Undo a saved change
Say ‘yes, but make it eight minutes’ to revise a preview without saving the earlier duration. Ask for work for a named unit, group or position; the preview shows its scope and timing. Review exact changes includes removed work and details omitted from a short spoken summary. ‘Cancel that’ dismisses unfinished work. ‘Undo my last change’ reverses your last eligible saved change after checking its targets and dependencies; it does not erase another coach's intervening work.
Teach the assistant my terminology
In Hey Coach, open coaching memory to save, edit or forget your terminology, preferences and constraints. Memory is private to your account within the selected team. Changing memory retires unfinished requests that used the old version. Forgetting a conversation does not remove separately saved practice edits or coaching memory.
Set up my sport and coaches
Open Team, choose your sport, then start with a team structure. Rename, add or remove groups to match how you coach. You can assign coach names before inviting anyone; signing in and receiving access are separate steps.
Find a practice, script or play
Open Library. Search by words or combine filters such as season, opponent, dates and field position. The week view keeps sessions and their scripts together. AI-assisted search, when available, proposes filters for you to review.
Change the plan without changing everyone else's work
Open a drill in the group's lane. Type stays Individual (or your chosen type); Period description names that group's work. Situation describes the game context, and Position specifics holds coaching notes. Details and sub-periods apply to that group by default; choose all groups explicitly when needed. Drag an edge to see a timing preview, release to keep it, or press Escape to cancel. Drag a grip to reorder, or focus it and use the arrow keys. Undo remains available after autosave. Locked work needs permission to override planning locks.
Record a thought during practice
Press the waveform on the period or play you mean. That choice stays attached to the recording even if practice moves on. Press the stop button in the same place, then choose Upload in Recordings on this device to save it to your account. You can visit a previous period to leave a note there, then return to Live.
Recover a recording or an interrupted connection
Keep this browser's data until your recordings finish uploading. Open your account to find recordings saved on this device and retry an unfinished upload. After reconnecting, wait for the current practice state before issuing a clock command.
Prepare equipment
Open Equipment to see what is needed, where and when. Choose a team inventory item when you want available quantities checked across scheduled practices. A request by name remains a simple packing-list item. Live timing changes still need an equipment check.
Print a field copy
Open Print from the practice. Choose the groups, scripts and equipment you need, then review the page preview. The layout reports content that does not fit rather than silently dropping plays. A saved PDF is available only when the document service is configured.
Understand what another coach can see
Team responsibilities, editing access and clock control are separate choices. Personal notes stay private. Sharing a report is an explicit action, and does not grant access to the rest of your notebook.
